In addition to standard materials, we provide customised solutions and processing tailored to specific applications and installations.

Functional Materials Solutions

Functional fillers are materials incorporated into a formulation to influence or improve specific material properties. Unlike additives, they form a structural part of the product and contribute to properties such as mechanical strength, rheology, stability, and processability.

Functional fillers are used in a wide range of industrial formulations, such as coatings, polymers, dental materials, and seed coatings. Depending on the application, they influence mechanical properties, processing behaviour, and product stability. The selection of a specific material depends on the required performance and process conditions.

Profiltra supplies, among others, perlite, calcium minerals, and cellulose fibres as functional fillers. These materials are available in different grades and are selected based on the requirements of the application and the production process. Depending on the application, perlite can be used both as a functional filler and as a process material.

Profiltra supports the selection of the right functional fillers for specific formulations. Material properties, application requirements, and process conditions are assessed in relation to each other, ensuring that the selected solution aligns with both production processes and desired final performance.

Color solutions

Industrial pigments are colourants used to give materials colour and to influence certain properties. In addition to appearance, pigments can also provide functional properties such as lightfastness, weather resistance, or corrosion protection.

Pigments are used in a wide range of applications, such as inks, paint, coatings, and plastics. In these products, pigments not only provide colour but can also contribute to protection, durability, and product performance.

Profiltra supplies various types of pigments, including organic pigments, inorganic pigments, and fluorescent pigments. In addition, Profiltra supplies carbon black for applications where colour, performance, and material properties play an important role.

Profiltra supports customers with technical knowledge of pigments and their applications. Our specialists understand production processes and support in selecting pigments that match the desired colour, properties, and performance of the finished product.

Piping technology solutions

Piping technology focuses on components that ensure liquids and gases can flow safely through piping systems. In these systems, vibrations, temperature, and pressure must remain within safe limits to ensure reliable operation of installations.

Piping components are used in installations where large volumes of solids, liquids, or gases are transported through pipelines. In such systems, components must be able to absorb movement, temperature differences, and pressure variations.

Profiltra supplies various types of expansion joints for piping systems: fabric expansion joints, rubber expansion joints, and metal expansion joints. These components ensure that piping systems continue to operate safely when movement, vibrations, and temperature changes occur.

Profiltra experts design solutions in which different components integrate seamlessly. This results in systems that contribute to the safety and performance of industrial installations. Many components are designed and produced by Profiltra, while others are manufactured externally.

Insulation Solutions

Refractory materials are materials that can withstand very high temperatures and are used to protect installations against heat. They are applied in industrial processes where thermal load plays an important role.

Refractory materials are applied in installations where high temperatures occur, such as steel production, jet engines, and pipelines transporting hot gases. In these applications, they provide thermal protection and insulation of installations.

Profiltra supplies various refractory materials, including porous insulation materials such as paper and felt, insulation blankets, boards, and refractory bricks in various thicknesses and temperature classes for industrial applications.

Profiltra supplies refractory materials and can machine them into three-dimensional shapes using in-house CNC equipment. This results in insulation components that fit precisely with the application and provide effective thermal insulation.

Wear Solutions

Abrasion resistant materials are used to protect installations against corrosive and abrasive wear caused when raw materials move through industrial systems. By applying protective materials, the lifetime of installations can be extended.

Wear solutions are applied in installations where large volumes of solids, liquids, or gases are transported. In such processes, materials in pipelines and installations can wear quickly due to abrasive load.

Profiltra supplies protective linings and plates that protect installations against wear. These materials are available in ceramics and basalt, among others, and are selected based on the specific conditions of the system.

Profiltra designs solutions in which abrasion resistant materials are aligned with the application. Many components are designed and produced by Profiltra, while other parts are manufactured externally to form a complete system.

Filtration Solutions

Industrial filtration is the process in which solid particles are removed from liquids. This is done using filter materials or filtration systems that capture contaminants. Filtration ensures clear products, protects installations, and contributes to stable and reliable industrial processes.

Filtration is used in many industrial processes where liquids must be purified or solid particles must be removed. Examples include applications in food and beverage, chemical and petrochemical industries, water treatment, and energy.

Profiltra supplies, among others, filter aids such as diatomite, perlite, bleaching earth, and cellulose fibres. In addition, we supply filter housings, filter bags, filter cartridges, and various membrane filters for a wide range of industrial filtration applications.

Profiltra supports the selection of the right filtration solution by analysing process parameters such as liquid type, solids content, and flow rate. Based on this, our specialists advise suitable filter materials and filtration systems for your application.
