Thermal properties and material versions
Ceramic felt for thermal insulation
Felt is a ceramic fiber material for thermal insulation within industrial installations and high-temperature processes.
The material is used in applications where lightweight and efficient thermal insulation is required.
Resistant to high temperatures
Felt is resistant to continuous temperature loads within a wide range of industrial applications.
Depending on the version, applications are possible at temperatures up to 1320 °C.
Available in different thicknesses and densities
Felt is available in different versions and specifications, including:
- Thicknesses from 6 to 25 mm
- Standard dimensions of 1220 x 1070 mm
- Densities between 64 kg/m³ and 288 kg/m³
This allows the material to be tailored to different insulation and installation requirements.
Industrial applications and processing
Suitable for industrial insulation applications
Felt is used within a wide range of thermal processes and industrial installations where thermal insulation is important.
Lightweight and easy to process
Due to its lightweight and flexible character, felt can be processed relatively easily within different insulation constructions and applications.
Support with selecting suitable materials
Profiltra supports customers in selecting suitable ceramic fiber products based on temperature loads, application and installation conditions.
