Job Description

At Profiltra, we do not sell components; we deliver continuity for industrial processes. We are looking for a Technical Sales Manager who, within our Piping Technology department, understands the mechanical engineering principles behind piping systems and connects these with commercial insight. Whether it concerns absorbing thermal expansion or reducing vibrations in large-scale piping systems: you understand both the mechanics and the customer’s business case.

We work closely with our specialists in Wear and Insulation Solutions to provide integrated answers to technical challenges in the market.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for managing our existing customer portfolio, while also actively converting new market opportunities in the south and central Netherlands.

  • Customer relationships: Building and maintaining sustainable customer relationships, identifying market opportunities and developing new business.
  • Technical advice: You advise customers and translate their technical wishes and requirements into suitable solutions, using compensators and piping systems. In doing so, you ensure optimal service.
  • Product knowledge: During the onboarding process, we provide targeted product training in compensators and piping technology and introduce you to our specific approach. You will get to know our trusted suppliers, so that you can clearly communicate the technical possibilities and specifications.
  • Project involvement: You will also be present on site for project preparation or during the start-up of projects. You are not put off by industrial environments and feel at home on the shop floor where “the real work” happens.
  • Integrated customer solutions: You liaise internally with experts from Wear and Insulation Solutions to make the most of cross-selling opportunities and relieve the customer as much as possible.

Our ideal candidate:

We are looking for a results-driven and responsible Technical Sales Manager who recognises themselves in the following profile:

  • Education: HBO level of thinking and working
  • At least 5 years of sales experience within industry. Experience in piping technology is preferred.
  • Relevant experience within an industrial B2B environment. You work on solutions for wear-related challenges in heavy industry.
  • Professional sales personality with excellent advisory and negotiation skills, focused on finding suitable solutions. Affinity with technology is important in this role.
  • Strong communication skills in Dutch and English, both verbal and written (knowledge of German is preferred).
  • Proactive, practical attitude, with initiative, analytical ability and independence to manage projects effectively. In addition, you enjoy being on the road while building long-term customer relationships in your region.
  • Strong collaborative skills to ensure optimal communication between the internal sales team, supplier and customer, thereby safeguarding project efficiency.
